Two of Southeast Asia’s most prominent street artists, Phu and Royalefam are retelling the story of a fictitious airborne battle through two customized sneakers. The “Death from Above” storyline involves two rival airborne squadrons, the Death Seeker Air Force 1s and the Phantom Mirage Air Max 90s. Each style comes in a squardron of 8 fighters (pairs). Available March 30th at 10:00 pm New York time, exclusively at Royalefam.
San Francisco’s Fatlace has held down an impressive list of projects and accolades since its foundation back in the late 90s. Their 2008 spring/summer collection includes a variety of logo based designs and other tees such as a collabo with Japanese photographer Yone. In an exhibition curated by Emma Reeves and Aaron Rose, Nike has translated the 22nd anniversary of the culturally iconic Dunk into a series of photographic memories. These shots are meant to be a representation of what the Nike Dunk has stood for over the last 22 years through the eyes of some of the world’s most prominent photographers. Their imagery will attempt to capture the essence of what the Dunk represents and why it has become such a mainstay in so many facets of culture.
