Adidas Pulls Controversial Sneaker

If you have been keeping up with news about the Adicolor release of the Adidas x Huf x Barry McGee sneaker, then you already know the controversy surrounding the kicks. Part of the Adicolor launch of the ‘Yellow’ series, the controversy that plagued these limited edition kicks was the Barry McGee artwork that included the Ray Fong character – a character that some feel is a negative stereotypical depiction of asians. In response, Adidas have pulled the remaining pairs of this model after receiving many complaings by the Asian community. Out of respect to those offended and to demonstrate our deep commitment to inclusiveness and diversity, we have chosen to pull the remaining shoes from the marketplace. Info: The Oregonian
