Last week, Niketown released these Doernbecher Dunk Lows as a charity related drop for Charity OHSU – Children’s Hospital Foundation. The sneakers feature laser engraving of hand drawn designs within the textured leather of the shoes. The kicks were designed by Lance Dillon, a 17 yr. old LaPine High School senior, who came to Doernbecher with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Only 1050 pairs of the kicks were made. The Muji Award International Design Competition was recently held and the winner is Yoh Komiyama of Japan. The winner designed a “cast of skin.” It’s an outlet plug designed to do three things; 1. To Save Energy 2. To prevent dust or waste from penetrating an outlet, and 3. To maintain a connection between an outlet plug and an outlet.
