Japan is probably the no. 1 place for the best collaborations (but probably the most expensive as well). This time, Comme des Garcons is working with North Face to create these very nice looking Jackets. This series is called the EYE series and it’s designed by Japanese fashion mogul Junya Watanabe. One of the Team Manager series often overlooked due to the monolith status of the Diamond dunk seems to be sneaking up on many Nike Skateboarding collectors. This Blazer, designed by REAL Team Manager Mickey Reyes, features black perforated leather and suede uppers, with the Blazer’s signature Swoosh in the goldish-orange color, Gold Post. The insoles are furnished with beautiful artwork; it is a shame that you can not see them while wearing the shoes. For those that worry about sock buds, this has a leather interior that repels against said effect. As with most SB’s the price depends on how much your local shop is charging, but there is little hype so they should be relatively inexpensive for an SB. Pictures from Essense

Just when we thought that the last wave of samples was over, even more come out to surprise us. The first is a re-retro+ of the 1999 IV, white/chrome. The only difference here is the netting instead of perforation on the sides. On the other hand the black/black is entirely new and unexpected. Perhaps Jordan Brand took a hint from from some of the “Black IV” customs (CG IV’s dyed black). Speculation indicates (due to the timing of samples) that these will release sometime between March and May of next year, however nothing has been 100% confirmed yet.
