Founder of A.P.C.
Jean Touitou heads minimalist brand A.P.C., and has steered the French imprint to increasing success of late since the start of his involvement in 1987. Titou familiarized himself with the industry at a young age by cutting his teeth at KENZO, before creating A.P.C. to address what Touitou deemed to be a lack of affordable yet stylish clothing. The label characteristically embodies an understated appearance, while conserving this aesthetic across a range of men’s and women’s clothing. A facsimile of A.P.C.’s appeal can be derived from a smart election of collaborative partnerships, with 2013 offering up continuations of the brand’s ongoing partnerships with Nike, Carhartt, Eastpak, and braced by the momentous Kanye A.P.C. drop.
