Water spots under phone screen

So i was installing a wet screen protector but somehow got water under the screen and now i have grey spots under the screen. This will probably dry out but i don't want it to leave any residue or any marks behind so i think imma open up my phone and try to clean it but if i can't do you guys know what possibly needs to be replaced? Is it the digitizer or the LCD that's gonna be need to be replaced? This is on a thunderbolt btw, anyone with pass experience with changing screens have any suggestions, especially places to buy them.. I don't wanna end up with a bad quality screen. I'm never installing wet screen protectors again, i've always done them and never had a problem until now.. The seal on the thunderbolt seems not as good as the others i've dealt with.
