Just saw this 5 mins ago - WOW.

I was completely blown away by how good this turned out to be, nearly everything about it was excellent imo.

Hirsch in the lead role is fuckin amazing, he is in it about 90% of the 2hr+ movie, and considering the lenghthy time, it think it is a real testament to the writing and acting that i thought i went by pretty quick, the pacing was suberb.

I thought the the scene which showed Hirsch and Holbrook saying farewell was brilliant, infact i think all of the supporting cast were brilliant.

I'm a bit annoyed because I really doubt many people will get to watch this absolute gem of a movie, certainly not which it deserves.

Enough of the superlatives for now, anyone manage to see this? if not - watch it. Best movie of 07 for me, and i mean it this time.

I read the book (I have it as well). I really want to see the movie, to see if it does the book any justice. I read the book the beginning of 2007, and when I heard a movie was being made, I wanted to see it. I've yet to see it though; I'll be sure to when I cop it on DVD.

Yea this movie was amazing. I agree that everything seemed to be just right making this movie extremely enjoyable. Definately hasn't yet gotten the credit it deserves.

I think the scene with the dad walking into the street, crying and falling down was very moving imo. Penn did a good job at making this movie. After watching it in the theatres it really made me think about my life.

what a great movie. I watched it when it was relased on DVD n I came across the ipod version so i say why the fuck not?

It would be a great movie for fellow materialistic HB members including myself.

THINGS N THINGS dont really say much about the truth or anything in that matter. Sometimes u just have to go out in the wild n really feel and see the simple beauty that nature brings...

Makes me want to say fuck all this cuz I'm going camping.blushing

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

its a really good film, watching it makes you think about what your doing with your life and what you think the meaning of life is as well...at least thats what I thought. Great cast, good acting and an overall good story as well.

cheers
