lol i don't know one ♥♥♥♥♥ that actually copped this album. Most of them d/led it, listenned to a few songs then deleted it.

We don't fuck with Lil Wayne in the Bay Area.

Most of the people that bought this are 11-17 year old suburban white kids.

This album was within 100k of The Carter 3 sales in the first week without even half the hype. How can anyone say that it's not suspicious? Yeah he has/had a big fanbase but most of them don't buy albums they don't like (and most people didn't like this album) and a lot of them aren't really otherwise into rap and don't buy unless there's a shit ton of marketing.

If birdman really did buy 300k+ copies, I don't get how he would have done it. Someone would have been like "damn who is this dude buying 1000 copies from this store?" and I don't see how that info could have not leaked.

before the whole digi era. i could never really understand how the system of selling copies works. for instance pre-digi era, take some indie-label artist vs in-spotlight mainstream artist. they both release albums. now do the same amount of copies get produced for each? and upon release day what happens when that indie artiest sells tons of copies more than the mainstream artist.

i would definitely like to know how many physical-copies actually get produced. otherwise its just some weird conspiracy. but its understandable nowadays with digital downloads.

They were obviously boosted in the same manner C3 was.
Its a marketing strategy that insures publicity and the illusion that your album is hot shit so it manipulates people into buying it
Well played Birdman

thats what I'm saying bruh then how did he do it? Pretty sure a 300k copy order even at an online retailer under one or a couple credit cards (under his or someone in his camp's name) would look suspicious/catch someone's attention.

it wouldn't be improbable for him to get a shit ton of interns to each buy a certain amount each, across a week

he could have bought them directly from a source? i dunno how that works. i remember when TRL used to have artists come on album release day and give a copy to everyone in the audience. they roll out a cart with stacks of albums. i think those were also all bought from somewhere to count towards sales. maybe not.
