Cop whatever looks good to you. If you wanna start off on the jordan game, you can wait till the Jordan 5's Black/Metallic's come out in August. Those are a classic, and since you're starting off your shoe game you can wear them more often since they're black. Plus the more you wear them, the faster they'll yellow. And in the case of the 5's coming out this year, that may be a good thing to some people because they'd rather have it yellow instead of the blue soles. Not sure how Ifeel about that but I've seen people say that.

Can't beat a Jordan 3 as the first shoe for your collection. Livestock still has true blue's. I think this is the dopest summer shoe.

Get a pair or two of leather boots/shoes. I'd just try and keep it classic and timeless. You probably won't wanna rock sneakers in a couple years because it looks childish anyway.

June 15, 2011 @ 02:55 AM

shoes are a decent investment depending on which pairs you get just cause you can always resell for atleast 50 but usually more

Keep the money for now and get shoes that you actually like when you find it. Personally, I would much rather get multiple pairs that are cheap, like Vans and Nike. Won't hurt to have a pair of Jordans though.

IDK what your into but Vans are cheap and they come in like every color. You could blow half that money one some heat but instead of destroying one pair of nice kicks. Buy some stuff you wont mind fucking up.

As a college student, if I were in your place I'd rather pick up very few high-ticket purchases rather than like 4 SBs. I was in your position a few years ago and instead of getting like 5 $100 shoes, I have a few $300+ shoes and a few $20 shoes to beat up. I very much prefer it over high school when I had to save for months just to pick up a pair of SBs that ultimately weren't that special.

I also wouldn't blow everything at once -- stalk the marketplace for a great deal on something you're sure you'll enjoy for a long ass time. I'd also stay away from visvim because once Hiroki realized people went crazy over his stuff he straight up doubled his prices.

if you are a rich kid this money shouldn't even be anything for you to think about what to get
in my honest opinion, if you have a savings already, save it, or if you already have steady income (parents or work) then maybe you can splurge a bit... but honestly that isn't too much money for you to start thinking what exactly to get...

save some money if you don't got more than $1,000 in savings yet, trust me it'll pay off

My suggestion: Save the money.

I made the same mistake by spending much of my hard earned money on shoes that end up collecting dust in the closet.

I'm really loving that everyone is off the Dunk SB train. Anyways I suggest that you cop cheap pairs that your FOR SURE going to make money off of to flip them. Then get what you really want.

LTB: Sz 9.5/10 Matte Silver/Royal SB Dunk, Nike SB KOSTON 1's or 2's, Roshe Run or FREE RUN 2's, Sz 9/9.5 - Janoski's

You can either go for more cheap pairs (Vans, Chucks etc) or try and find some Jordans.

Forgot I made this topic. But heres the deal. Throughout college, my job is going to be paying me as a full time worker, even though I wont be working at all ( crazy right? ), so money isnt gonna be an issue. And I'm thinking about getting some IV's cuz I like the way they look but I' couldn't find any with a navy colorway/highlights and thats the color I really want.

Oh and my savings are straight. I been making sure of that. The graduation money is like straight splurge cash.
