Here's Our First Look at BBC's All New Series of 'Top Gear'
Starring Chris Evans, Matt Leblanc and sky-high production value.
BBC has revealed the first teaser trailer for the all-new series of Top Gear since the show’s complete overhaul in the wake of host Jeremy Clarkson’s “fracas” with a producer, which left the BBC no choice but to continue the show without its infamously contentious hosts. Instead, the new teaser puts new hosts Chris Evans and Matt LeBlanc at centerstage and showcases the sky-high production values and, well, that’s about it, as the show is still currently in production. However, the footage used in the trailer is visually captivating, at the very least.
This teaser comes as the latest move in an ongoing chess game, as Clarkson, Hammond and May made the jump to Amazon Prime to produce a new motor-show for the online streaming service. The new Top Gear is scheduled to premiere in May, a month before Clarkson’s as-yet untitled show is to go live on Amazon. The race metaphor is lost on no one.
