Asian Drill Rap Now Exists and It's Fire

While everybody has been addressing Oscar stereotypes, here’s something else to talk about. A young Indonesian rapper/Vine comedian by the name of Rich Chigga (Brian Imanuel) dropped an undeniably fire track called “Dat $tick,” produced by Ananta Vinnie, a month ago and released its music video last week. On Saturday, KollegeKid found out about it and put it on their Facebook page, and now it’s become the latest viral rap video. As with many drill and trap MVs, the visual depicts him and his friends flexing $ticks, pouring yac, kicking back and cooling. Move over for now, Slim Jesus. It’s Rich Chigga’s turn.

EDIT: We know that this is technically not drill music. The guy’s flowing like A$AP Rocky in “Multiply” mixed with a bit of Night Lovell in “Worldwide” over a pop-trap beat, but with all that stick talk going on in the song we’ve labeled it as drill just to keep things simple.
