Earlier this summer, Vic Mensa got together with the FADER for a week in his hometown of Chicago to film a documentary, titled Down to Start a Riot, recalling his rise to prominence in the past year. In this short trailer for the forthcoming film, a friend reflects on Mensa’s humble beginnings in the Illinois capital, and his long journey which saw him mosh on stage at the BRIT Awards with his hometown hero, Kanye West. SAVEMONEY producer Stefan Ponce recalls, ”He really did what he always knew he was going to do, like, damn, this guy is really about to change his life.” Take a look at the trailer for Down to Start a Riot above.
