Two of Chicago’s most talented up-and-comers link up on “Temporary.” The Saba track is the rapper’s first song of his to see release in 2015, and is a collaboration with Tink. “Temporary” is produced by CHAD, who previously worked with Saba on “Next Door,” a joint effort with another one of the Windy City’s strongest prospects, Lucki Eck$. Saba’s latest was recorded at Red Bull Sound Select Studios, where Christian Mulvany worked with the young rapper to put together the song. In a statement to FADER about today’s release, Saba had the following to say:
“I make a lot of my songs as reminders to myself … I came to Tink knowing what I wanted to say, but not exactly how I wanted to say it. I know the concept of time comes up a lot in my music. The song ‘Temporary’ was really just a note to myself that all suffering is temporary.”
