The milliner to the rich and famous opens up about what led her into this most unusual of careers.
Portland-based milliner Dayna Pinkham has opened up about the illness that helped her gain a passion for hat-making, the artistry that goes into each piece and the patience required to be a top hatmaker in this short film by director Tristan Stoch. Dayna has alopecia, which caused her to go bald at 24 years old, and also led her to hat making. She discusses her journey, not being afraid of working part-time jobs, the importance of patience, and how, if you follow your dream, life can lead you on the right course in a non-traditional career path.
