DJI looks to add popularity to its already competent Phantom line of drones with the new Phantom 3. The company’s previous model, the Phantom 2 Vision+, was an easy to assemble drone, capable of shooting ultra-smooth aerial footage. Improving upon its predecessor, the Chinese company’s new Phantom 3 Professional and Advanced both come with a built-in camera and a stabilizer, capable of shooting 12-megapixel footage, with 4K resolution at 30fps and 1080p resolution at 60fps, respectively. In addition, the drones will also include a new feature called “lightbridge,” removing the need for a WiFi network for a live-feed stream from the camera to your phone. The Phantom 3 Profession will be available in the coming weeks for $1,260 USD, and the Phantom Advanced for $1,000 USD. For a full hands-on review, visit Engadget.
