After a relationship that began around last summer in a memorable performance/project with ALIFE, the collaboration between Canadian three-piece BADBADNOTGOOD & Ghostface Killah is finally public. A stream of the album has been made available on SoundCloud, with the 12-track Sour Soul well-encompassing the trippy jazz-hop aesthetics laid out with singles like “Ray Gun” and “Tones Rap.” The combo act made an ode to recording techniques from the 1960s and ’70s – including live instrumentation – creating a perfectly listenable, classic outing for Ghostface’s boom-bap style.
