Animal Collective Announce New Album, Share Its First Single
Their eleventh LP centers on Cubism, Dadaism and our relationship with it all.
Animal Collective have officially announced their next studio album. Entitled Painting With, the LP will serve as the acclaimed act’s 11th album and will see release on February 19 via Domino Records. The themes of Animal Collective’s next album are said to center on the intersection between movements in art such as Cubism and Dadaism and “the human experience.” Painting With was recorded at the EastWest Studios in Hollywood, with musicians John Cale and Colin Stetson present as collaborators. To support and introduce the effort, Animal Collective have shared the first single support of the LP, “Floridada.” You can stream “Floridada” above.
