Since Michael Jackson’s unexpected death in 2009, the King of Pop has taken in over $1 billion USD (before taxes) in postmortem earnings. So, naturally, Jackson tops Forbes‘s “Halloween-spooky” list of top-earning dead celebrities for 2015. Over the past year alone, Jackson has earned $115 million USD thanks to the likes of “the Vegas Cirque du Soleil show Michael Jackson One, the Mijac Music catalog, recorded music sales and half of the Sony/ATV publishing empire.” Elvis comes in second with $55 million USD in earnings while Peanuts creator Charles Schulz, Bob Marley and Elizabeth Taylor round out the top five.
