Back in June, NPR created a test to see if people could tell the differences between 128kbps, 320kbps and lossless formats in audio quality. As expected, not everyone was able to, and today, the folks at The Verge‘s offices made another test to see if their employees could tell the audio quality differences between Apple Music (256kbps), Spotify (320kbps) & TIDAL (lossless). Again, the results showed that most people were not able to differentiate; their conclusion is that when listening with portable devices and low-mid quality headphones, there is probably no difference. Watch the video above, and make sure to check out our comparison between Apple Music and Spotify.
