Led by Creative Director Guillaume Henry, Carven took to the Paris Fashion Week runway with its 2015 spring/summer collection that embodied the spirit of France’s working class. Inspired by the casual, uncontrived dress of bakers and butchers on their way to work, Henry presented streamlined silhouettes that are both functional and comfortable. Pants were cuffed and trimmed like sweats while zip-up tops were paired with turtle neck shirts. Shorts and pants were well-fitted to accentuate an overall leanness in design, while the use of color and fabric block nodded towards classic athletic styling.
