A Conversation with Jey Perie of The Kinfolk Store

With the store recently opening up in Williamsburg, Kinfolk took the opportunity to sit with store curator Jey Perie on his role in the launch. After a stint in Japan that saw Perie develop his relationship with the burgeoning Kinfolk crew, the creative undertook the project of developing the brand’s meticulously curated retail experience. In the interview, Perie details key differences between Japanese and American buying culture, Kinfolk’s aesthetic direction with its in-house apparel, and more.
