Although their long-awaited return to haute couture has dominated their brand’s press coverage, the Amsterdam-based designer duo of Viktor & Rolf recently presented its 2014 spring/summer Monsieur collection this past week. Partners since graduating from design school in the early ’90s, Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren return to their scholastic days with a collection centered around school uniforms. The Dutch tag team reignites their affinity for suiting showing a range that pairs two-buttoned blazers with slim-fitting trousers, whilst incorporating some adventurous patterns and prints. Adding in some influences from the casual prep, Viktor & Rolf’s forthcoming Monsieur may have the tools to steal the spotlight from their couture revival.
