The latest news from the rumor mill suggests Silicon Valley tech company Apple is contemplating the addition of both a 4.7-inch and 5.7-inch display to its current lineup of iPhone devices. The report comes by way of Reuters, who also mentioned the larger “phablets” are being considered in conjunction with a less expensive iPhone made with plastic hardware. Positioned to complete with devices like the Galaxy Note and HTC One, the iPhone 5’s 4-inch screen has been largely criticized by both non-users and loyal patrons to Apple. Reuters add that although the Fortune 500 company has discussed the idea with production partners, nothing has been written in stone or scheduled for pre-production. You can bet your bottom dollar however that they’ll certainly explore the idea through various testing models. Furthermore, the news site mentioned Apple is entertaining the concept of different screen sizes because of the increase in pressure to produce more than one device a year, i.e. the iPad mini. What’s left unanswered is how its battery life and screen quality be affected by the addition of a larger display. So who out there finds it advantageous for Apple to offer different sizes of the iPhone?
