Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Gameplay Trailer
Following the game’s debut trailer back in March, Hideo Kojima and Konami gave Solid Snake fans a closer look at Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain at E3 by way of a brand new gameplay trailer. Making use of Kojima Productions’ new cross-platform Fox Engine, the latest installment in the fabled series looks to be a radical departure over the previous releases with an emphasis on open-world tactical espionage – a stark contrast to the relatively linear design of past games. Starring Kiefer Sutherland as Big Boss (now known as “Punished Snake”), the E3 gameplay trailer is set in 1984 and eschews the Cuban-set Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes portion of the game in favor of a look at Punished Snake in action as he shows off the strategic espionage, various modes of transportation, and more across a desert landscape.
