Digital media platform 7digital tracked sales data from Sunday to Monday and then compared those figures to the average sales data for the previous seven days. After winning the Album of the Year Award for Babel, Mumford & Sons saw a digital sales increase of 518% for the single “I Will Wait.” The group also blessed the stage with Elton John, who also benefited in terms of digital sales. Big winners The Black Keys gained 367% raise in sales for “Lonely Boy,” same goes for Bob Marley & The Wailers’ “Could You Be Loved.” Further artists that cashed in due to their involvement in the ceremony were Dierks Bentley, Carrie Underwood, Ed Sheeran and The Lumineers.
