Although its exterior looks relatively untouched at first glance, Mini Cooper’s flagship Hardtop model will receive a brand new makeover for 2015. Manufactured with the same height and wide front grille as its last iteration, this updated model is touted as a maturing piece that shows what Mini can do to maximize interior space, safety features and interior finishes, whilst keeping a sporty ride. The Hardtop will be available in two engine types including a 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine that reaches 134 horsepower with maximum torque of 162 pound-feet, and the S model that boasts a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 189 horsepower and maximum torque of 207 pound-feet. Both offerings will incorporate Mini’s TwinPower turbo technology and direct injection, combined with enhanced aerodynamics and a lighter built, it’s expected to offer better fuel economy numbers. On the inside, we still see its signature circular gauges with a few minor tweaks to make it more user-friendly. The 2015 Mini Cooper Hardtop will reach dealerships in the spring of 2014.
