In a recent talk at Fast Company‘s Innovation by Design conference, Fast Company editor Robert Safian hosts Nike President Mark Parker and VP of Global Design John Hoke as they share their first experiences with hacking, modding and improving their runners back in the day. Much like many other technological innovators who grew up disassembling and tweaking mechanical devices, it’s interesting to see how the same concept was applied to their running shoes — themselves now a crucial and sophisticated piece of technology.
