The physical headquarters of online mens designer fashion store MR PORTER ironically or aptly reside in a mall – London’s enormous Westfield Shopping Centre. Its hallways resemble those of a high fashion retailer’s – its open communal workspaces those of a busy newsroom while its chic staff clusters around high speed computer terminals fashionably poised with couture intelligence, continually perpetuating the perfect cyber facade of the store. The male counterpart of NET-A-PORTER, MR PORTER is growing rapidly in popularity and size, successfully mirroring its sister website in the way of fashion taste-making and seamlessly extending the elegant “Porter” wardrobe to an entire other gender.
