Fresh Off The Boat with Eddie Huang Trailer
Chef, writer and restaurant entrepreneur Eddie Huang returns to the TV episode format, this time
Chef, writer and restaurant entrepreneur Eddie Huang returns to the TV episode format, this time opting to present his venture purely through online distribution with the help of VICE. The new show is titled Fresh Off The Boat and will follow Huang’s adventures as one of New York’s emerging food personalities as he searches to find the unheard voices in the food community. In Huang’s own words, “The [show's] voices will be raw, uncut, and there for you to agree, disagree, love and hate. I don’t even like some of the guests, but that’s the point. Every one gets to jump on the track. We want you to engage. We want you to think and we want you to question the way things are framed in the world.” While episode one in its entirety has yet to be seen, what is certain is that the mix of Eddie’s personality with a loose internet format will make for genuinely engaging and honest television. It should also be noted that Huang’s book of the same name is set for a January 2013 release. Check out the trailer for Fresh Off The Boat above.
