The folks over at Complex just let loose this new video from The Jealous Guys, a Bay Area hip-hop duo that’s beginning to make waves throughout the blogosphere with laid back raps and production from a few of the most talked about up-and-coming chillwave producers. They’ve teamed up with Clams Casino and Lunice on tracks in the past, but now the Guys are readying the release of their forthcoming Audio Book EP, which will be produced entirely by Jeremy “Zodiac” Rose. For those who don’t know, Rose is responsible for the production behind The Weeknd’s “What You Need,” “The Party” and “Loft Music,” whether Mr. Tesfaye will admit to it or not. Despite what happened between he and Abel that supposedly led to the third “e” being dropped from “Weeknd,” Rose is still hard at work. This track with The Jealous Guys, “Genesis,” is just a taste of what he’s been up to and what the Guys have coming in the future. You can watch the video for “Genesis” above, and download the song here.
