blu installation bogota 1 Blu Installation in Bogota

Artist Blu shows off his latest and greatest street piece in the streets of Bogota, Colombia. As witty as ever, both mural sized artworks showcase a socially conscience theme with the drug/death references. Both were put in place for “Memoria Canalla”. Definitely another great installation for one of the more well-respected street artists in the scene.

This is sick, but tagging is the purest form of graffiti out there, especially now when graffiti and especially street art became so commercial ….

Wow this is amazing. This is art with great meaning. I wish in the US they would allow work like this to be displayed on buildings. That deserves respect shout out to Colombia!

wow its funny how whiteout is completely against graffiti…
and you cant even begin to talk about it without understanding it.
it all begins with the tag, if you cant do a nice tag, you cant to a nice bomb, if you cant do a nice bomb, you cant do a nice piece, if you cant do a nice piece you cant do a mural!
you have to understand that tags are something you have to learn to appreciate, because they are the only part of graffiti that has been here since the 1960’s and the only part of graffiti that will always be here.

this isnt what all you little beasts see as tagging. this is a pure art form, where what you put out for the public to see has depth and meaning. you have to take two looks to understand what the artist is saying….pure art with no borders
