This year, New Yorker Nickelson Wooster proved that the role of fashion consultant could be broadened in many diverse ways. The creative, “free agent” consultant and global style icon has become a multidisciplinary icon for his fashion sense, and landed him a spot on Vanity Fair’s 2015 International Best Dressed List this year. In addition to producing a collaborative line with UNITED ARROWS this year, Wooster also launched the NVy by Nick Wooster line in collaboration with the Japanese label’s creative director Poggy as an ode to his favorite shade: navy blue. In a quirky, one-time project, designer and friend Todd Snyder printed a range of limited edition T-shirts printed with the phrase “WHO THE FUCK IS NICK WOOSTER?” as a tribute to the consultant’s rise in the fashion world this year.
