Matt Abergel & Lindsay Jang

Hailing from Calgary and Sherwood Park respectively, Yardbird owners Matt Abergel and Lindsay Jang turned the Hong Kong dining scene upside down with the launch of their izakaya-inspired Yardbird. Years of experience in the F&B industry including stops at Nobu and Masa effectively defines the Yardbird experience by Abergel and Jang. From the design and aesthetic (the logo is by Evan Hecox) to the menu, corners are never cut. Early in 2013, the Yardbird concept spawned Ronin, a seafood-focused establishment that delivers a selection of aquatic delicacies alongside high-quality Japanese whisky. Additionally, this year the Yardbird crew joined forces with Stussy and also ventured to Atlanta where they set up a one-night-only event featuring a custom food and cocktail menu alongside WISH Atlanta and The Sound Table. At present moment, Yardbird holds the title as one of the Top 50 Restaurants in Asia.
