XLarge 2008 Spring Collection

For the upcoming 2008 Spring Collection, XLarge has cooked up a series of collections which include the Fat Food, 1991 and the OG Collection. As the name suggests, some pieces are themed around the aforementioned Fat Food theme and include all-over prints of fries, burgers and shakes. The rest of the collections take more subtle approaches which revolve around their earlier styles. Some pieces will release in the coming days. Available at STLESS.

XLarge x Manhattan Portage Messenger Bag

Manhattan Portage has had a long and storied past since 1980 with many innovative features which have integrated itself into the urban bag scene such as single strapped Cordura bags and durable Delrin buckles. Their everyday urban relevance has led to a collaboration with XLarge on their 1610 messenger bag. Integral features include the use of Cordura materials and entirely waterproof inner and 3M accents. XLarge added some of their own touches such as yellow stitching and inner lining as well as a leather patch. Available for pre-order soon at Calif.

XLarge x Wild Things Classic Mountain Parka

For over 25 years, American mountaineering label Wild Things has been the purveyors of high quality outdoor garments with the specific goal of keeping things light. Their "Light is Right" doctrine has been tested extensively in some of the world’s most demanding scenarios. They recently teamed up with OG street brand XLarge for a pair of re-worked Classic Mountain Parkas. Black and Brown colors are available each including a flannel lining. The jackets will be available for pre-sale at Calif on November 12th, will a full release on November 23rd.

A few days ago, an Afro Samurai x XLarge t-shirt was revealed. A follow-up to that has produced a stunning new Afro Samurai figure. Afro Samurai is a cartoon featuring Samuel L. Jackson as the lead character and produced in Japan. The figure is highly detailed, depicting the cartoon warrior in a fearsome pose. These are set to release Saturday, October 20th. Heavyweight Production House represents a vehicle for art & design work. Founded in 1998 in Montreal Canada, HVW8 created an outlet for a variety of different forms of expression. XLarge Japan has teamed up with the hit animated series Afro Samurai to create this limited edition t-shirt. Featuring Samuel L. Jackson as the lead character, the story revolves around Afro Samurai as he attempts to avenge his father’s death and become “Number One”. Each episode of Afro Samurai is rumored to run Japanese animated network GONZO 1 million dollars per episode, a record for the company. The t-shirts will release in late October, however they are currently available for pre-order. The price is set at ¥4,830 (approximately $41 USD).
