Continuing with their various collaborations, Wacko Maria teamed up with Porter to come up with some bags including a messenger bag, a tote bag, and a limited edition zip wallet. The messenger and tote bags come in similar style prints that have a very strong Jamaican flavor with palm trees, ocean, guitar, and different flowers. The zip wallet comes in two styles, one with cow print and the other with leopard print. Available now at Beams.

Japanese brand, Wacko Maria, is gaining momentum and keeps expanding its product line with a collaboration on Converse’s Chuck Taylor High. Founded by Japanese soccer players Keiji Ishizuka and Atsuhiko Mori, Wacko Mario aims to create high quality products, inspired by their friends, movies, music, and women. These Chuck Taylors are simple but effective with Wacko Maria’s signature skull embroidered on the side and a simple tag on the inside of the tongue. These are available now. Source: Juno

Wacko Maria Army Jackets

Wacko Maria Army Jackets

Everybody’s favorite brand these days seems to be Wacko Maria, brought to light by Tet’s Honeyee blog or by hipster’s guidebook Huge mag. We’ve seen a strong South Western/Blues/Mexican theme until now but of course we had to see some Militaria coming. After all, Army jackets are an integral part of true American fashion, adorned by patriotic loners from Steve McQueen, to John Rambo (First Blood not Rambo pt. 100) and Travis Bickle (Taxi Driver). These jackets are slightly different from the played out M-65 and we see pre-Vietnam garments including the M-56’s forefather the M-51 which has a full velcro strip down the front. Wacko Maria keeps it relevant with the latin Catholic touch and prints the back of the jackets with its trademark Maria icon. Available now at Ark.
