Back in 2004, the scificrazychildren series CC21-31 by Michael Lau was released. Four years later, Michael Lau will be launching the next figure in this series, the CC32 S.F.J.J. According to some preview sketches, this figure will be created in conjunction with British artist James Jarvis (thus J.J). Stay tuned for more pictures of this figure.

Here’s the new variation of Michael Lau’s DJ Panda and Off World Creature figures. Done in an all black colorway, the DJ Panda figure will sit at 6” tall and will limited to 200 pieces worldwide at $99.99 USD. The Off World Creature figure will also be in black, will sit over 5” tall, will be limited to 200 pieces and will cost $89.99. Available soon at MINDSTYLE on March 21st.

Prodip’s fascination with UFO’s has made him create the Hong Kong UFO Documentary which talks about people’s sightings of UFO’s in Hong Kong. The documentary has been just released. Two versions are available; a stand alone DVD or a Off World Boxset with comes with the Off World Creature Figure designed by Michael Lau. The boxset is now available at Double-Park.

Although Michael Lau’s annual CSBOOTH 14 exhibition ended a few weeks ago, Lau has continued his relationship with Maharishi to create some new colorways of some of the products originally released at CSBOOTH 14. Pictured here are the DJ Panda and Off World Creature versions. A release date is yet to be set.

Michael Lau’s annual CSBOOTH event took place last weekend at Michael Gallery. The exhibition featured some of Michael Lau’s latest paintings to go alongside his most famous facet of toy-making. Three different paintings included Prodig, DJ Tommy and Off World Creatures. Toys included general releases as well some special draws for rare one-off products Michael Lau has involved himself with in the last few months.

Among a core of marquee toy-makers in Hong Kong, Michael Lau has established himself as one of the big players in the toy world. With a ton of accolades and projects, his yearly CSBOOTH 14 event is set to take place this weekend. The exhibition will include the customary release of toys. A preview sees ten toy set to go on sale. This marks a busy time for Michael Lau as just recently he came off a project with notorious fashion photographer Terry Richardson.
