The latest Weekly Drop podcast features Keith Hufangel, creator of famed San Francisco sneaker, apparel, skate (take your pick) shop HUF. Keith speaks about how he became a pro skater and the development of HUF not only as a store but as a brand as well. He also address the whole Ray Fong adiColor issue. Starting May 12th, a three way collaboration will see X-Large, Hong Kong based toy designer Michael Lau, and Hong Kong streetwear brand Fingercroxx release six different figures. The drop order is as follows for the Hong Kong releases (retail is $599 HKD or ~$77 USD):

The X-Laugh is the flagship figure of the line, and appropriately is released last. X-Large stores worldwide will receive shipment of these figures.

An all new colorway of the Nike ACG Wildedge has dropped. The Wildedge is a modern take on the vintage ACG classic, the Wildwood. Updates on the Wildedge relative to the Wildwood include rubber bumpers for toe protection along the front, a nylon upper (as opposed to leather), and a 1 piece full length tongue-less booty similar to the Free.

Logan Hicks is world renowned for his extensive skills in creating stencils. His impressive list of clients include the likes of K-Swiss, Burton, Upper Playground and others. In the near future Logan Hicks will be making his way to the East Coast, and as a tribute, X-Large have set up a final show that will consist of not only Hicks’ most current works as well as vintage pieces that were once thought to be all sold out will make a triumphant return for this show. As shown a few days ago, some special collaboration pieces will also be available for sale exclusively in X-Large’s LA store.

Neighborhood has created some of the most sought after distressed denim within the last few years. Shinsuke Takizawa recently unveiled this teaser of what appears to be an upcoming collaboration with the world’s original denim company, Levi’s Strauss. Aside from these being made in Japan, very little else is known. Check back for more info.
The Sapporo Runway Fashion Show in South Beach is only a few days away, but the collaboration pieces are still coming out. The latest is a New Era fitted between Sapporo Beer and Los Angeles based Crooks & Castle. Only 100 of these special fitted’s will be released and aside from personal connections, attendance at the Sapporo Runway Fashion Show is your only bet.

New Balance teamed up with boutique Sportie LA for these 576s. As you can see the upper features a mixture of colored polka-dots, patent leather, and a soft cloth, stripped toe-box. These will release July 1st at Sportie LA for $150, and then will be available on September 1st at other global locations.

After many seasons working with Umbro, British designer Kim Jones has gained many supporters to this collaborative line and has recently released their Spring/Summer 07 collection. This collection accommodates to a variety of crowds including products such as t-shirts, pocket t-shirts, polos, hoodies, shoes, and other fine items. This is a preview of much to come from this collection, so be sure to keep your eyes open for more of the Umbro by Kim Jones Spring/Summer 07 collection. Available now at D-Mop.
Shmack is a brand that has grown rapidly the past year and here is their newest release which includes a classy Belt and Buckle Package. This belt and buckle features an embossed monogram pattern on the leather of the belt, gold Shmack logo buckle, gold belt slide, and a white magnetic sealed box. This belt is produced in white leather and will be available mid summer.
Track + Field is a brand based in Philadelphia which creates a wide range of accessory bags. For this Spring 2007, they have created a whole line of bags exclusively featuring Sunbrella brand’s 100% solution-dyed acrylic fabric. This water resistant fabric’s strength and color refuse to fade even under the harshest conditions, while retaining the softness of spun cotton. This season contains many styles including backpacks, flight bags, messenger bags, record bags, tote bags, and a selection of women’s bags. The entire line also features bright colors and trendy patterns, which is definitely a great look for this coming summer.
