For Italian brand Untho, their manifesto revolves around a regime of provoking thought in the visual world. With this in mind, their clothing is a small piece of the puzzle in hopes of encouraging people to create a sense of self-awareness for their surroundings with a goal of a better social environment. Their latest collection features their familiar mascot in a few different applications such as t-shirts and knits.
As a by-product of the Japanese and Tokyo commuter lifestyle, we’ve seen numerous Japanese brands dedicated to the creation of bags and accessories. In a recent partnership, Japan’s legendary skate/fixed bike crew T19 looked to custom bag makers Crank to create a messenger bag. The bag is unorthodox in its stylings as it features a long and narrow shape in both black and navy blue colorways. Available now at select T19 retailers.
Following up on their previous jacket, Voyage by WasteTwice has teamed up once again with Lowe Alpine; this time offering a more technologically advanced Gore-Tex product. The jacket features Gore-Tex’s top of the line Pro-Shell material in a lightweight and extremely breathable package. Large pockets can be seen along the waist as well as diagonal zips on the chest. Collaborations such as these offer top of the line performance with a renewed sense of aesthetics that are often not provided by typical mountaineering companies such as Lowe Alpine. Japanese store Eliminator has taken to one of Fred Perry’s classics in the Bomber Jacket in a special collaboration for the 2008 fall/winter season. The vintage and timeless aesthetic of the 60s Bomber Jacket undergoes a contemporary refinement with the use of a shiny body complete with bright accented colors. Three colors in total are available, while each share the same silver body, yellow, blue and orange accents can be seen. Available now at Eliminator.
In which is arguably a win for the smaller fish in the pond, hat makers Estate LA are set to open their very first flagship store. In a market largely dominated by New Era, this surely a sign of Estate LA’s development and success. An opening date has been set for Friday, June 13th with a subsequent online store opening to coincide with the shops debut.
