World famous fashion designer Hedi Slimane who perhaps has become best known for his stellar work at Dior Homme has taken an active role in photography as witnessed by his ongoing blog. Undercover’s all-star designer Jun Takahashi has released his 2008 spring/summer collection titled “Summer Madness” with an eerie motif forming the backdrop of this latest fashion venture. The ghostly “Hotel UC” inspires a line of t-shirts and accessories seen here that are currently available at select Undercover locations.

Flying Coffin has released two online exclusive t-shirts to complement their recent 2008 Spring Collection. First off is a new variant of the classic bolts design, featuring a hand mixed and pulled gradient in the star circle. The second tee sums up how Flying Coffin creator Jason Gomez feels about the current state of just about everything – Mediocre Times. Here we go, the next fusions to make you drool or spit. This time it’s an all American colorway of red white and blue in time for the Olympics. These mids far surpass the black Air Jordan V x Air Force 1 Lows we’ve seen on other sites (which look 100% fake). These actually look decent, but hopefully they wont release 10 more colorways, keeping it somewhat subtle.

The all leather Hide offerings are specially treated for water repellency as well as including little details such as a laptop compartment. As Neighborhood’s children collection, Neighborhood Quarter has represented a slightly more youthful approach to the aesthetics and themes represented by its parent company. Here’s a new addition of apparel including button-up shirts, tees and a solitary hat. Available now at honeyee Store.
The proliferation of vintage treatments to sneakers and its trickle down effect sees the venerable Puma Clyde undergo a faded and weathered look. In all honesty, with suede and its impossible upkeep, this gimmick is all but unnecessary as the first freak rain storm or spilling of beer on your suede Clydes/Suedes will leave the same effect seen here. However, classic colorways seen here definitely shouldn’t be overlooked. Look for a worldwide roll out soon.

Relatively new to the Japanese fashion arena is label Cactus. Despite their recent establishment, they have created a capsule of products together with fellow Japanese brand Ubiq. Among the products is the mountaineering inspired Carphill. Cactus’ personal touches feature a revamped materials on the tongue and heel, while maintaining the full leather upper. In Reebok’s new collaborative venture, established creative engineers Sunny & Kai of Call of the Wild have put their design ingenuity on Reebok’s chunky boot, the Nightsky. The boot is simple, yet beneath the aesthetics lies a strong core including premium leathers, corduroy and Gore-Tex materials. Available now at “Sold Out”.
Things have been pretty quiet on the NexusVII front. As one would expect, we’re going to see some big time collaborations complimenting a preview of their 2008 fall/winter collection.
