Rocksmith has unveiled their 2008 Spring collection representing their 2nd drop this season. The collection includes that trademark Tokyo meets NYC aesthetic with attention to colors and cuts. Styles here include the Baracuda jacket, D-Block Pieced Paneled Hoodie, New Wave polo and sleeveless Uptown jacket. Set to hit stores in the next two weeks.
The running project of Japanese fashion designer Yohji Yamamoto and adidas to create Y-3 has resulted in another collection of sports inspired apparel. The apparel seen here includes nylon windbreakers, button-ups, removable collar polos and leather hoodies among others. The 2008 Spring/Summer collection is available now at your local Y-3 dealer such as D-mop.
The creation of Common Projects by partners Prathan Poopat and Flavio Girolami has yielded collection after collection of unusually sleek and functional footwear. For the opening of the Dover Street Market pop-up store in Shinjuku’s Isetan department store, the Japanese brand Undercover has teamed up with British luggage maker Globetrotter to create two suitcases. One has the suitcase has the Undercover Hello Kitty design while the other has the Undercover “Chuuut!” design. Both suitcases come in three sizes – 33 inch, 30 inch, and 21 inch. Available at the Dover Street Market space at Isetan from March 19th till 31th.

Central Saint Martin’s graduating student Christopher Shannon finished off his graduating final collection of menswear with two exclusive pairs of New Balance 860s. Emanating from the legendary Flimby factory, the footwear complimented his collection of denim and reversible jackets. Unfortunately not some New Balances we expect to hit the retail front.

Dover Street Market Isetan represents a special team-up between the English/Japanese retailers as they celebrate 150 years of successful Anglo-Japanese relations. While previous news saw Visvim & COMME des GARCONS work together, another release features COMME des GARCONS on a sole account. The Hiroshi Fujiwara designed DS Lite was inspired by HF’s theme of creating a more mature and grown up version of the world’s most popular console. Available only for sale via a successful drawing, the DS Lite will retail for ¥16,800 JPY (approximately $169 USD).

Japan’s premier department store Istean is celebrating the 150th anniversary of the Anglo-Japanese Treaty of Amenity and Commerce with a special collection of products released in association with Dover Street Market. The definitive highlight of the co-designed products is a collaborative effort between Visvim and COMME des GARCONS on a capsule of FBTs and apparel. The “Marketing Machine” FBTs feature an all-over print over three different colors and utilizing the new Folk sole. The apparel consists of a button-up in true CdG form as well as a pocket hoodie. The collection will be avialable exclusively at the special Dover Street Market Isetan space until March 31st.
