The creation of a brand like Visvim represents much more then building high quality products. The obsessive traits regarding creating products which are not only relevant to their inspirations but also the willingness to ensure every detail is perfect is hardly something that can be learned. The new Folk Series from Visvim has created yet another innovation in the world of lifestyle footwear. Although there exists more then just the FBT within Visvim’s footwear line, it is this sneaker which has unofficially taken the reigns as Visvim’s flagship, something hard to argue. The new re-worked Folk Lhamo FBT is in our opinion the truest representation of moccasin meets sneaker.

Neighborhood looks to Hong Kong as the setting for its latest Hoods flagship store. An exhibition titled Previously Opening will commence prior to the opening on March 8th and will conclude on the 24th. For both Neighborhood and WTAPS, their existence and popularity all started on the simple t-shirt and this will represent the desired medium for both brands to introduce their concept and themes to the Hong Kong public. Previously Opening will also be the first show featured outside of Japan for both Tetsu Nishiyama (WTAPS) and Shinsuke Takizawa (Neighborhood). Look for an official NBHD x WTAPS Bombers t-shirt to be available at the exhibition. Hoods is set to open next door to BBC | Ice Cream and will officially open April 1st, 2008.

Something hinted to earlier in the Stussy 2008 Spring Catalog was an upcoming collabo with Hiroshi Fujiwara. The sunglasses seen here represent that clean and simple aesthetic that HF has applied consistently. According to Kix-Files, the eyeglasses are a re-release from a previous collaboration. No word yet on availability.

The P-Rod makes a new transformation into a high cut version. This is probably the first high cut version to be released and former Nike SB head honcho Sandy Bodecker has the honor of designing this. This BO Rod is the next in line of the series that saw the likes of the Hiroshi Fujiwara P Rod and the Tinker Hatfield P Rod. Like the previous ones this is extremely limited so watch out this March.

Becoming the posterchild for affordable and durable watches, through 25 years Casio G-Shock has been put through its paces. Two new packs include the 25th Anniversary special edition Ocean Gray set and the Rastafarian pack. The Ocean Gray pack includes translucent rubber throughout in a special collectors box. The Rastafarian movement has unfortunately become mostly associated and reduced to a palette of colors as it is seen here on this other pack of G-Shocks. Both will release in Japan on March 21st.

This package created for the 576’s 20th anniversary seems so true and authentic to the roots of New Balance. New Balance Japan looked to their English counterparts to produce this vegetable tanned leather 576 complete with an assortment of collectible additions like shoe polish, cleaning kit, customizable satin bag and shoe trees. However, there’s more as a special New Balance exclusive program allows for a free replacing of the sole in 5 years time… no excuses for keeping them away in the closet.
