You’d never really associate track bikes with the same artistic flare as say board sports or BMX. Bootleg Sessions is a fun take on a series of riders messing around on their fixies. No story line or extra crap, just straight up riding and documentation of riders doing their daily thing. The DVD is available for order now through Bootleg Sessions and other retailers around the world.

The Lacoste Stealth collection dishes out another helping of lifestyle sneakers this month. Two of the models include the Ardeur and Revan OG. The Ardeur is a remake of a Lacoste classic from 1983, which originally filled a void in Lacoste’s sneaker roster as a performance alternative. The Revan OG is a hybrid-like design with a more sophisticated approach to the sneaker. The leather upper also includes a stitched toe box. Look for these to hit your local Lacoste Stealth dealer in early February.
Last year saw a collaboration between Marvel and New Era. This year the attention turns to DC Comics as they release their own series of New Era 59Fifty fitted caps. These caps are a more subtle approach to the comic book meets New Era project, with single logos forming the highlight of each hat. Four styles feature Batman, the Riddler, Cat Woman and Superman. These are set to release March 15th at European New Era outlets.
The 27 year old artistic genius, Jean-Michel Basquiat, gained popularity as an artist by doing graffiti in the Subway as well as the ghetto ares of New York. Unfortunately, Basquiat is no longer with us but his art continues to influence modern day artists as well as products such as this Basquiat x Reebok NPC UK Basquiat sneaker. Reebok has commissioned the art of Basquiat and has transformed the NPC UK sneaker into a piece of wearable art. These shoes are available starting February 5th at Atmos Tokyo.

On the heels of an article regarding John
Jay & Hiroki Nakamura comes some old school footage regarding the Harajuku movement as created and shaped by some of the biggest names to come out of Japan’s fashion industry. Last Orgy2 represented a video segment in which the likes of Hiroshi Fujiwara (Fragment Design), Nigo (Bape), Jun Takahashi (Undercover) and Hikaru (of Secret Base) would speak and offer insight on topics that they found appealing. Among the videos is a showcase of Nowhere, a store founded by 2 Go (Nigo) and Jonio (Jun Takahashi). Although the store originally sold exclusive and hard to get items, their lack of sales led to the creation of their own personal lines. A further compliment of videos can be seen through Youtube user piroshiki99 here and here.
