Chuck Anderson has just put 12 new pieces of work up at NoPattern. Eight of them are archival quality giclee prints on Hahnemuhle photo rag – and if you’ve ever seen a print on that up close, you know it’s some beautiful paper. Of the remaining four prints, one is a collaborative piece with Nigel Dennis of ElectricHeat. Check them all out and enjoy. The work is for sale at the NP&CO online store. Prices range from $60 to $125 USD and each print is individually numbered.

Design brand Nooka kicks off their design initiative with a series of watches with more projects on the horizon. Named after the local accented way of saying New York, the brand represents Nooka’s love of New York with a series of innovative watches. The ZOT AL offers an unconventional method of telling time, using a dotted display on an aluminum face. Other standard features include a chronograph and alarm. Influential music labels form the basis of adidas’ latest “Sounds of the City” collection. Motown Records out of Detroit has been an R&B and Soul factory since its foundation in 1957, forming a label for the careers of popular artists such as the Jackson 5, Diana Ross and the Temptations. Referencing the classic colors of the original Air Max 95, Japanese sneaker-inspired label Kiks Tyo teamed up with Casio G-Shock to release a special watch. The 25th anniversary watch is solar powered with a backlight featuring Kiks’ skull logo stamp. The watch is complimented by an original Kiks Tyo designed mini shoe box. UNDFTD, often associated with sneakers, will be releasing a new t-shirt this coming Saturday. The new t-shirt which is called “Be True To Your School” Dunk tee features a perforated UNDFTD logo on the front and on the back it has a graphic which says “Every Wednesday & Saturday Be True To Your School. Dunk”. The t-shirt comes in colorways which matches the “Be True To Your School” Nike Dunks. Available at Undefeated stores on January 26th.
DJ Steve Aoki has been blazing a trail on the music scene. His impact goes beyond just his skills as a DJ but also include his role with his indie music label, Dim Mak. The Converse 100th Anniversary in 2008 has brought a series of new reinterpreted designs from the century old shoe maker. Over the next few months, some of their marquee as well as lesser known styles will be released under new looks and styles. The Weapon Youth Shin Hi is a tribute to the 1986 released NBA favorite Converse Weapon with differences seen in the addition of the Velcro strap. Two color combinations are seen here and currently available at Mita.
Everybody remembers that cliche term, the pen is mightier then the sword… but what about now? How does the match up of pen vs. keyboard sound as well as the thought the last time you used a pen to convey a message? In what is almost a reminder to the pre-internet era, the recent Futura x Stussy collection has yielded this pen. Futura’s trademark font and atom logo can be seen printed on the pen, with Stussy seen in Futura font. No word on availability.
