Tyler, the Creator’s 2020 was more on the tame side compared to his 2019 run when he dropped his fifth studio album IGOR. The 29-year old rapper had more time to focus on design and fashion this year with his label GOLF WANG producing some of its best and most vibrant collections as of late. A release in collaboration with Levi’s was the first big drop for Tyler in 2020 — the capsule consisted of a classic trucker jacket and the standard 501 jeans printed with colorful polka-dots. GOLF WANG’s FW20 also followed suit with bolder tones and more eye-catching graphics. Knits, trousers, bowling shirts, tees and polos all had Tyler, the Creator’s signature quirky patterns and off-the-wall color schemes.
Sneaker wise, Tyler’s GOLF le FLEUR* hit the mark with Converse on a few Gianno releases. The pastel-hued creations were some of the most coveted drops from the footwear brand this year. GOLF WANG also had a couple of solid runs utilizing the Converse Chuck 70 — a polka-dotted denim design and some boldly-branded versions were released. Lastly, Japanese footwear maker Suicoke also utilized the GOLF WANG name with two Depa Sandals in green and blue.
