LA’s streetwear scene wouldn’t be where it is if it wasn’t for Chris Gibbs and his store UNION. The concept shop has been the epicenter of West Coast cool and continues to bring the street culture community together through creative activations and rare collaborative drops. Gibbs also produces an in-house line of clothing for UNION, consisting of everyday staples made with choice fabrics. Only in its third year, the brand has already garnered some critical acclaim amongst die hard streetwear fans.
UNION stayed under the radar this year until it revealed its opus in the form of a Jordan collab. Gibbs’ partnership produced a capsule consisting of three silhouettes and two colorways — the Air Jordan 4, Zoom ‘92 and Delta Mid in both “Guava Ice” and “Off Noir.” The two Air Jordan 4 takes are definite best sneaker of the year contenders.
