Chris Gibbs continues to show his passion towards the culture with the ongoing evolution of his UNION Los Angeles imprint. With over two decades of pushing streetwear to a larger audience, Gibbs’ knack for bridging consumer and brand can be seen in his early adoption of Japanese streetwear, his highly curated offerings at UNION, and special collaborative projects.
This year saw a fruitful turn of events as UNION kicked off its first venture outside of American soil, opening its doors in Tokyo. With the opening we saw special releases between the retailer and artists KAWS, along with painter Kostas Seremetis. On top of its Tokyo opening, Union went on to launch its second private label collection, and collaborate with NOAH, Girls Don’t Cry and Dickies.
