Artist and fashion designer Verdy had a breakout year for his Girls Don’t Cry brand. A Nigo-approved label, not only did Verdy release multiple collabs with the iconic creative’s Human Made imprint but 2019 also saw his Nike SB low finally drop after being teased in October of 2018 at HYPEFEST. As Verdy’s stock grew, other members of the streetwear industry took notice as a Murakami link-up came to life as well as numerous pop-ups touting his “Vick” cartoon character. Verdy is a force to be reckoned with both in art and in streetwear this 2019 and it looks like the visionary is poised to make more of a splash once 2020 hits.
