Riding high after a monumental 2018 marked by an LVMH prize, Masayuki Ino of doublet continue carving his brand’s place in the fashion world this year. For SS19, doublet pushed the boundaries of wearable fashion playing with packaging inspired by food items. FW19 saw doublet experiment with the theme of “SURPRISE!,” opting for appearance obscuring elements that invoked a sense of playful horror. Throughout the year the Japanese brand also crafted a series of collaborations with /017, WISM, Dover Street Market and more.
