Skateboarding’s Olympic debut may have been postponed due to the COVID-19 coronavirus, but Nike SB is pushing along with its slate of Olympic skate releases unimpeded. Consisting of fresh takes on the Nyjah Free 2, Shane and Janoski Slip plus the debut of the Bruin React, the Swoosh’s four offerings are dressed in a vibrant “Summit White/Racer Blue/Pink Blast” color scheme that was designed to match the US Skateboarding team’s Olympic uniforms.
Each pair uses a crisp white base, and alternates its Swooshes with pink and blue hues plus solid/outlined design iterations. Nyjah Huston‘s Zoom Spiridon-inspired Nyjah Free 2 adds a gradient fade on the collar, the new Bruin React — a shoe designed with assistance from Sean Malto — offers gradient heel tabs and stacked construction and Shane O’Neal‘s aptly-named Shane keeps things simple with minimalist pink and blue embellishments. Finally, the Janoski Slip offers a classic and sleek look to round off the pack. All styles in the quartet are also stamped with a set of coordinates that nod to the location of the Tokyo Games on the medial midsole.
All four pairs from Nike SB’s Tokyo Olympic-themed collection are available via the Nike webstore now. Prices range from $75-$100 USD.
