Lionsgate is looking into developing AAA video games for its John Wick and Saw franchises.
As per Dexerto, Chairman of Motion Picture Group Adam Fogelson confirmed the news in a recent earnings call. “Our AAA game opportunities and other gaming opportunities around John Wick and Saw and some others that we’ll be announcing soon, we’re seeing increased interest and increased opportunity, and we remain on schedule,” he said. No additional information, including any collaborative studios, casts, or plots were revealed.
Both franchises have received its fair share of video game titles. John Wick released a total of two games: the VR John Wick Chronicles in 2017 and the tactical RPG John Wick Hex in 2019. Meanwhile, the first Saw game was released in 2009 and the second in 2010. Twisted Productions confirmed a third game in 2021, but no game has been released so far.
